What is the Legacy Gala?
The LEGACY GALA is an effort with an eye toward the future.
Our community faces challenges in education, talent retention, and civic leadership. Young talent leaves our community, and systemic issues persist. We aim to break this cycle by identifying emerging leaders, removing barriers to education, and providing mentorship and mentoring opportunities to our community.
The LEGACY GALA is a Legacy-focused event meant to help members of the community, young leaders, and Glynn County alumni transform our city.
The Gala Will Highlight
The Legacy Scholarship
Funded by our Legacy 100 Alumni, The Legacy Scholarship awards high school seniors with a scholarship award to go toward their education at a Historically Black College and University (HBCU) or trade school. This reward will help relieve the burden of the cost of attending school and give young people an opportunity to come home and serve our community.
Legacy 100 Alumni
Brunswick has produced successful men and women who are thriving nationally and internationally. The Legacy 100 Alumni is comprised of Brunswick natives interested in providing financial support for ongoing initiatives through our leadership development programming. The Legacy 100 Alumni gives Brunswick natives the opportunity to give back to the community that helped raise and develop them.

OUR THEME: One Mission: A Legacy in the Making
For six years, A Better Glynn has been guided by one mission. To build a stronger, more equitable community through leadership, advocacy, and intentional action.
This year’s Legacy Gala theme, “One Mission: A Legacy in the Making,” reflects both where we have been and where we are going. It honors the foundation that has been laid, the leaders who have been developed, and the systems that have been built to create lasting impact.
Our forward movement is rooted in what has come before. The work, the wisdom, and the commitment that have shaped this organization continue to guide what we build next. Each step forward carries the intention to not only continue the work, but to strengthen it for those who will come after us.
Legacy is not a single moment or milestone. It is continuous. It is shaped through consistency, shared vision, and a commitment to move forward together.
As we gather, we honor the work, the people, and the momentum that continues to shape our community, while remaining focused on what comes next.
Because legacy is not something we arrive at.
It is something we build, together.
